My background


I first started my digital marketing and SEO career over 10 years ago, in a local agency in my hometown in the UK.

Back then, SEO strategies were very different… relying on keyword spamming, directories for links, and other now-considered ill practice activity. Thankfully, times have changed!

Over the next 5 years of my career, I worked across multiple UK and London based agencies including Absolute Digital and Elixirr (formerly Coast Digital) – honing my knowledge across SEO, CRO and paid advertising.

During this time, I worked with some of the largest UK based brands, including Tommee Tippee and Ladbrokes.

Around 2020 is when I decided to take my career to the next level, and moved to my now current home of Dubai.

I joined SEO Sherpa, the largest and best rated SEO agency in the MENA region, where I have spent the last 4+ years (with a small break in the middle to pursue other ventures).

During my time at SEO Sherpa, I have worked with brands including DAMAC, The Abu Dhabi Government Media Office, AL Ansari and many more.

I am currently working as a Strategist, where I advise clients and spearhead their strategies in all things SEO.

During my hiatus at SEO Sherpa, I moved to DWTC (Dubai World Trade Centre) leading their digital marketing efforts across their event sector.

This primarily was for GITEX Global, the world’s largest B2B tech event, bringing in over 200,000+ attendees to the UAE over 5 action packed days.

In this role I Increased impressions by 125% in 12 months, reaching 203 million total, by:

  • Leveraging mass media coverage through link building efforts, acquiring 1,500+ links in 12 months with an average DA of 45.
  • Implementing a multi-language strategy covering English, Arabic, Russian and Mandarin, implementing hreflang attributes accordingly.
  • Leveraging high profile interviews to create blog style content.
